Travel in Iceland

OK ,This is the stereotype of Iceland:Silence ,beautiful ,and like a paradise.

Many people think Iceland is It is just a very scenic holiday destination,but actually the local culture is also very interesting.

many website of trip will recommend you many of Iceland's famous attractions so I can only show some interesting thing about iceland culture in this article.

1."Ice cream land",the culture of ice cream in Iceland

Many people like eat ice cream in the summer, this kind of sweet food is very popular in the world. many people think:"we only eat ice cream if the weather is very hot", but in iceland, peoples eat ice cream everytime as they can. 

In fact, there is no "off season" of ice cream in iceland. Ice cream shop can be very jam every season. This could be because Iceland is very cold all years, but it's more likely because icelanders have big sweet tooth. so if you want to travel in Iceland and you are the big fan of the sweet food, you can try the icecream in the Ice and snow as local people do.

but the iceland ice cream is a bit expensive than common icecream in China(600-800 Iceland krona, amount to 30-40 CNY), I suggest you make sure you have the flavor you want before you buy it.

2. J e e p s.

Iceland have very special geographical environment, so Icelanders very like ehicles with good terrain passability such as Jeep. so you can see many Jeeps on the read of iceland.

if you like road trip and not carsickness, you can hire a Jeep and enjoy the road trip in Iceland. and it is also a wise choice to drive a highly safe vehicle like the Jeep in Iceland.

But don't think about racing on the tundra or snow, Iceland has its own traffic police, or you want to dump yourself and your car in a snowdrift.

3.Others culture in iceland...like "Elf"

54%Icelanders belive Elf”(就是精灵) is real existence, even have a town called"Hafnarfjörður" ,it considered the "headquarters of the Elves in Iceland". so if you're interesting in "Elf" and it's related culture, you can take a look at this place. maybe you can try to talk with local people and ask some question with "Elf", they may give you many Interesting answer.

Almost every rock in town has an interesting fairy legend behind it. I belive these fairy can burned into your brain.

4.Sum up

OK，now you can see except for the beautiful scenery, there is many others funny things in Iceland. In fact Iceland also have many interesting things are waiting for you to find out for yourself(such as bake hot dogs with cold lava left over from volcanic eruptions ☟)
