What can students learn from English lessons?

To answer this question, first we should know what a student need to get from a English lesson.

First, they need to learn some words or vocabulary. Students are supposed to know how to pronounce one word, for which they should be able to identify different phonetic symbols. Second, they need to know how to use the words, which means they should know the meaning of the words, frozen usages and how to make sentences with the words. Third, they should know how to learn by themselves, including previewing an article, looking up the new words they don’t know and the ability to ask questions. Fourth, they should be able to speak what they have learnt and write them down. The last one, they should be able to use what they have learnt.
