Rutherford’s Model of Atom
Most of the mass of an atom is concentrated in the center.
Atoms would continuously emit electromagnetic radiation, as well as the atomic emission spectrum would be continuous instead of discrete. Atoms would be harmed when gaining electrons, and is unstable; they would collapse eventually. However, these theories are only predictions, that is, they are not proved yet, so they are the limitations of Rutherford's model of the atom.
Rutherford's model of atoms explains the reason why a metal plate emits electrons with stimulation of incident light (入射光).
Light intensity affects the number of electrons emitted.
