New task

Today, my supervisor assigned me the task of adding a new feature to the existing project "self-help printer". The project was originally created by me from scratch when I just joined our company, and it has been maintained by me until now.

Our company's business is related to medicine, checking health, the same as hospitals do. When customers come to our company for their medical checkup, our reception staff will print out the guideline along with the barcodes of the items to be checked. After the customers finish their medical checkup, their checkup data is stored in our database, and we will provide their own checkup data for each checkup.

The project that I'm responsible for is a machine. It's located in the lobby, through which customers can print their guidelines and barcodes by touching and select options on it's screen. Basically, the machine consists of a PC with Windows system connected to our database and two printers connected to the PC, one for printing guidelines and the other for printing barcodes.

And the new feature that will be added to the PC is that it will also print the data reports of the customers after they finish their medical checkup.
