此外，表示“没有必要做某事” 或“没有意义做某事”还可以用： there's no point in doing sth. 其中，in可以省略。There's no point (in) arguing with each other. 彼此争吵是没有意义的。

②take sth for granted表示：认为......理所应当，
即对某事不太重视。

We all tend to take our parents' love for granted.

我们都容易把父母的爱认为是理所应当。

此外，表示“重视.....”可以用：

take sth seriously的结构。

We should take the test seriously.

我们应该重视这次测试。

③not...neither是一句非正式口语表达。
用于表示：也不。

If she won't come, I won't neither.

如果她不来，我也不来。

此外，更常用的表示“也不”的结构是：
not...either

She doesn't like him, I don't either.

她不喜欢他，我也不喜欢。

表示肯定的”也“可用：too放于句末。

I love you, and I love my mom too!

④as if 意为：好像，
后面接的句子用虚拟语气，
即动词用过去时态。

He keeps looking at me as if I was an ugly monster.

他不停地看我，就好像我是个丑陋的怪物。

as though意为：好像，
后面用法一致。

She runs so fast as though she was chased by a tiger.

她跑得好快，就好像有老虎在追她。
