Face To The Sunshine——a reaction to 

was written by an English called Daniel Defoe. The main character in this novel is Robinson, a man who is both clever and brave. Also, he enjoys traveling. I really express admiration for his disposition and love his experience. Now, let me tell you something about his risks and my feelings.

        Robinson Crusoe had truly expected to take a strange risk since he was a little kid. His parents didn’t agree with his dream and asked him to get a job and settle down, though. He was so interested in journeys that finally he left his hometown and traveled around the world. At first, he made a few money. However, the more money he made, the more hazards he faced. Sure enough, soon, he became a prisoner of pirates. But he still ran away from the pirates successfully.

          As a saying goes, “Joy comes never more than once but sorrows never come singly.”During another journey, on the way to Africa, the boat was stuck in the sand and turned over. Luckily, Robinson was good at swimming and he arrived at a island. Unluckily, others all died and he hadn’t got anything indispensable including any food. What’s worse, he had to stay on the island alone for a great long time and many savages lived by the island. In my opinion, it seemed that he was in adversity completely and it was very difficult for him to be alive.

        However, I’m wrong. In these years, He not only be alive but also did lots of things to make himself safe and comfortable such as building houses, planting crops, keeping goats and so on. What’s more, he even saved a captain from the savages and the captain took him back to England successfully . To my surprise, when he left for England, he had gone to the island more than twenty-eight years. What a wonder it was!

          During the twenty-eight years, when he met almost all kinds of problems, he faced a hard selection about his future. He can either gave up the last wish or fought with the difficulties. At last, he chose the second. Also, since this book came out, thousands of readers have obtained this result. Perhaps that’s why he can achieve his dream and become so well-known.

          As a classic novel, we can also learn a lot from it. When we meet trouble, we shouldn’t give up because if we always escape the trouble, we will be unable to do anything. So we’d better deal with the problems through our mind and bravery. Then we can truly grow up and become a useful person to society.

        Finally, here is a sentence and I really agree with it,“Although we are in adversity, we can also find a ray of hope so long as we go to look for it.”
