The limit and flaw of an exam
I shared my writing in English with a WeChat group of college classmates, someone in the group asked if my English had passed the 8th grade.
It seems that it has been a long time for me not talking about an exam. I haven't taken an exam for many years, of course I haven't passed any English exam.
I found a flaw for any exam, an exam has a potential meaning that if you pass, the process is over, and your learning can stop. So most of the college leavers have stopped learning new knowledge almost forever after graduating from college, because they used to learn new knowledge by taking an exam. No exam, no learning.
So unless there's a special need, the purpose of learning should not be to pass an exam, but what? Your curiosity, interest and use in your practical life and work. If so, there is no limit to your learning and your achievement.
