Something I accidentally realized

An English native speaker has told me to write diary in English a long time ago but I didn't follow it. It is not only because I found writing diary a tiresome task, also my fear of actually writing everyday life down, my fear of witnessing every day passing by without achieving anything substantial when looking back. However, the main reason behind all of those excuses is that I didn't want to write things in English at all because my words are not well polished as those articles written by a real native speaker.  I can't step back anymore, I  can't bide my time any more. If I want to make some real progress, I need to move forward and face the difficulties.

Sometimes I also worry that my words in English are not as colorful as those I have written in Chinese because after all that's my first language and I also love my mother toungue. In terms of the phonetics, however,  English is the most beautiful one and I have expressed my feelings to many people countless times.  And now I really need to write something down in English on a daily basis to move closer to a native speaker. But writing is different from speaking. I'm speaking, I'm speaking to write this article and it's a very easy way to do so. thanks to the technological tools. It's not laborious at all. Before this, I was writing an article,  actually another article in English and  that's the reason why I am so determined to hone my English writing skills because I just realized that I have become quite rusty about it.

I just read an article online tonight. And for whoever is reading my essay,  I'd love to share some insights from that inspiring article.

"If you want your writing to resonate with an English-speaking audience, you should learn not only the rules of grammar and spelling but also the way native speakers build phrases and choose words depending on the context and writing style. "
