1、People like the wide variety of accommodation types and prices, and the fact that it’s only a short drive to get out into the countryside from the development.

今天跟读的这句话中，又出现了drive做名词的情况，a short drive，一个很短的车程。与昨天的a twenty minutes' drive 一样的用法。算是短时间又加深了一下对这个词的用法的理解

2、Some people have mentioned that they’d like to see more facilities for cyclists, and we’ll look at that, but the overall feedback has been that the design and facilities of the development make it seem a place where people of all ages can live together happily(Q13).

今天跟读这句话的主要卡点在make it seem a place 这个地方，因为我对seem的这种用法不熟，一直就把它听成make it a same place,导致在意思上很难理解。后来看了原文才发现是seem，当然这里面也与我的发音不对有关系，seem与same的发音没有很好的区分出来。但也是因为这个问题，我重点再查询了一下seem的用法。大致上来说，seem作为动词，其实是有两种用法，一个是seem做系动词的用法，一个是seem做实意动词的用法。

seem 做系动词(类似于is,are等），后面可以接形容词或者名词，表示看起来像是什么或者怎么样。

比如He seems happy 或者he seems a very nice man.或者it seems like a good idea.

seem 做实意动词，与其他普通动词一样的用法，后面接不定式to do、名词或者接从句

比如he didn't seem to believe me. 或者they make it seem a beautiful design. 或者

it seems that + 从句：it seems that he is lying.
