It hit me today how many things in life are beyond our control—no matter how hard we try, some situations just can’t be fixed. A story off the office that there is such a lady is trapped in a nightmare at work. She shares an office (and even job duties) with a colleague who’s unbearable—incompetent, disruptive, and utterly draining. This toxic dynamic is wearing her down mentally and physically, yet her complaints to their boss fall on deaf ears. Worse still, she can’t transfer positions or quit outright. It’s crushing to watch, but no one can intervene. A true tragedy of powerlessness.
