Monkey Forest (V): From "Core" to "Sun"

Octavian was the Monkey King, but only for fighting other monkeys. When it comes to leading people to fight for territory with human's saws, the traditional role of "monkey king" is far from enough. The subject is so profound that most monkeys are puzzled. So, to explain this matter to the monkey people in simple terms, it fell on the head of the Preaching Team.

Germain and his team had to think hard about it. After all, this was a situation the monkeys had never been in since time immemorial, so there was no ready explanation. Germain and the other members held 19 meetings for three consecutive days, day and night, and finally finalized the following outline of their preaching:

——1.The history of all monkey groups shows that having the Monkey King at the core is the key to success in the competition among other groups.The stronger the cohesion of the monkey  king, the higher the fighting effectiveness and the greater the victorious possibility of the monkey flock.The fight against the human's saws is an exceptionally difficult task compared with the previous struggles. Octavian must therefore become the core monkey king in order to give the group unprecedented super power；

——2.The great and magnificent history of the monkey clan shows that the Monkey King played a decisive role in the development of the monkey clan. In the hands of different Monkey Kings, the expansion rate of the monkey territory is different, and the expansion rate of the monkey scale is also different. Octavian is by far the smartest Monkey King, and of course he should be called the "core" Monkey；

With the outline, inspired by Octavian's "metaphor," the members of the Preaching Team went down to the trees separately and began to preach vividly about "Octavian's Core" with the monkey people: “The core, like the sun in the sky, as soon as the sun rises, all the earth will see clearly,; the sun goes down, nothing can see clearly. Core Monkey King octavian is like our monkey sun, With Octavian at the head, it was like working in bright daylight, seeing everything, solving everything. If you do it without Octavian, it is like wandering around in the dark night, doing nothing, but may be in danger.”

This metaphor is easy to understand, and the monkey people who are quickly surrounded by complex words in the outline are suddenly enlightened. “Octavian is the sun of the monkeys!” A monkey was excited by the fact that he had suddenly become enlightened, and shouted out his own understanding of the metaphor. When the other monkeys heard this, they felt that this sentence was much easier to understand than what the Preaching Team had said. As a result, they all abandoned the complex argumentation process of "Core Monkey King", and simply and rudely used this cry directly. Shouted excitedly：

"Octavian is the sun of the monkeys!"

" Octavian is the sun of monkeys! "

"Octavian is the sun of monkeys!"

…

This call ended that call, one after another, until there was a great cry like a forest falling down. The monkey people felt happier than they had ever felt in their power to resolve.

The "Octavian Core" thing thus became, but monkeys generally don't like the abstract word "core," they prefer to say "Sun Octavian" or "Octavian sun." It even ended up being a spontaneous greeting：The first monkey says hello to the other monkey this way: “Octavian sun！”And the other one answers： “Sun Octavian!” Then they smiled at each other, just as they used to ask each other "Did you eat?" Or "Hello!" the same.

Octavian did not object to this. Because he was as tolerant and benevolent as the sun, he did not care about words, he understood that the monkey people meant the same thing as he did, and that was enough.
